LOGO : Design
The Canadian Institute of Forestry contracted Design House to create a unique and memorable icon to promote its 90th Annual General Meeting convened to discuss World Trends and Their Effects on Canadian Forest Practices.
The Design House creative strategy was to combine a Canadian icon — the traditional maple leaf — with the stylized lines of a world globe. The resulting logo is a sophisticated and timeless combination: smooth flowing lines define a shape framing the graphic rules of Earth’s lines of longitude and latitude.
This logo was applied to various pieces of conference literature, bilingual publications, and promotional items including a cast pewter lapel pin.
